Translator

Word for word text translator. Translates text into either language. Translates letters, word lists, or any text-formatted document. Create your own customized word lists – a translated list of words that can be printed.

Language Learning

Contains related words in different categories. The words are displayed as they are spoken. These word and phrases can be played in sequence similar to an audiocassette tape. Unlike a tape, you can select any words from each category. The speed is controllable, and the lists may be printed. You can record and compare your voice to the native Filipino speaker.

Dictionary

Indexed in both English and the Philippine language, quickly locate a word in either language. Enter the desired word, or partial word to locate the corresponding word in the other language. You can move sequentially backword and forward, like a printed dictionary, or jump to any letter in the alphabet. Note: Ilocano does not contain any sound in the dictionary. The Cebuano and Tagalog software now includes the ability to modify the dictionary – add, remove, and edit words.

Maps and Conversion Utilities

Maps include the Philippines, Manila area, Cebu Province, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific. The Cebuano software also contains a map of Cebu City. Click on a map location to here it pronounced. The maps can display the current Philippine time. The maps are printable.

The conversion utilities include a Peso/Dollar converter and metric converter. Convert dollars (or other monetary units) to pesos, or pesos to dollars. Also includes a utility to convert between miles/kilometers, pounds/kilograms, gallons/liters, and temperature. Set the location from any time zone to obain the current Philippine time. The software also includes Filipino language guidelines and travel related information. Context sensitive help is available by pressing the F1 key.
